What ages do you provide services to?At Arrow Speech Company we provide speech-language therapy to children as young as 12 months through 12 years. However, we truly specialize in ages 12-48 months.
-
How do I get started? Our process is easy. If you or your child has not had a recent evaluation in the past six months we will schedule an evaluation. Following the evaluation, we will determine whether speech therapy is warranted and set up services. Our therapists need to meet and evaluate new clients in order to determine what type and frequency of therapy will best meet their needs.
-
How long are sessions?Sessions are typically 45 minutes in length and will combine both direct "therapy" (which is really going to look like play!) and include some parent coaching/planning. Most children are seen up to 3 times per week.
-
Where do sessions take place?A child's behavior may vary greatly in different environments (clinic vs. home vs. childcare vs. school). For that reason we love to see children in multiple locations. Mostly, clients are seen in a combination of clinic visits and home visits.
-
What do sessions look like?~P~L~A~Y~! We all learn best when we are most engaged and the best way to engage children is through play! There is a lot more going on behind the scenes than just play in order to best support your child to learn how to communicate with us.
-
What if my child doesn't really pay attention to us or they don't play? That is okay! In fact, that is what we specialize in here at Arrow Speech Company. We will learn together how to be a magnet for your child's attention. We meet children where they are and build relationships and connections. This is how we create extrinsic motivation for children to want to communicate with us. If we are having fun during a session, they probably are too!

Anthem/ Blue Cross Blue ShieldArrow Speech Company is currently an in-network provider with Anthem/BCBS. Many Anthem/BCBS plans have a copay or co-insurance that patients are responsible for paying. Many times patients are responsible for the entire amount of a session until they have met their deductible. Prior to beginning services, you should call your plan and check on speech-language coverage.
